Family Mural
2020
This was around the time I wanted to paint something bigger. I was curious to see what it would be like to draw on something larger than a piece of paper. At the same time, I was shifting away from VFX and reconnecting with my own voice as an artist—accepting my gifts as a healer and meeting people who actually understood them.
A friend offered her home as a canvas. She shared her intention for the space, and I went off into my own space to meditate and channel something for her. We collaborated on the symbols—adding flowers growing next to a sprout to represent her new family.
It was a blessing for her family, but looking back, it was a blessing for me, too. I spent two days on a ladder reaching into those high places, sharing food and chatting. It was a ritual of alignment and curiosity, just letting the lines flow as I moved forward in my art.
